Ravin Murugan is a professional photographer based in Halifax, known for his exceptional work with people, landscape, aerial, golf, events, and wedding photography. He is also a content creator and full-time nurse, with a deep passion for capturing the beauty of the world through his lens.
As a self-taught photographer who began his journey in 2014, Ravin has developed an eye for detail with an unwavering commitment to excellence, which is reflected in his images. His love for travel has taken him to some of the most beautiful locations around the world, with images that show his ability to capture the unique character of each place he visits.
Ravin’s expertise in people photography has particularly impressed his clients, as he is able to capture the essence of his subjects with warmth, humanity, and authenticity. As a full-time nurse working in the community, he has had numerous opportunities to document the beauty of Nova Scotia, from the rugged coastlines to the tranquil forests and lakes.

Shown in the following Gallery are more images from Ravin’s brief trip to Cape Saint Mary’s Ecological Reserve at the south western tip of the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland Canada. As discussed during the podcast, we talked about the importance to think about a collection of photos as a story. In the case of Ravin’s images of the Northern Gannets he imagined the activity he witnessed similar to that of a Wedding taking place which became his inspiration for taking the images.
